National Contributions
APPA’s goal in setting forth this vision statement is to work with probation professionals, youth, and community stakeholders to establish a set of core principles that we believe should be incorporated into every juvenile justice agency. We know there are many agencies already on this path, and others that are just starting. Ultimately, our aim is to create a system-wide approach to probation that incorporates helping youth desist from delinquent behavior and achieve long-term success.
School & Main Institute is a nationally recognized training and partnership development organization. We help people and organizations work together across institutional lines and in “uncommon” coalitions to improve their communities and the lives of young people living in them. We bring uncommon coalitions together to create equitable opportunities for young people to thrive.
Centering community and collaboration.
We believe in the impact of strong relationships, guidance, and mentorship in creating transformative change.
The Youth Transition Funders Group (YTFG) is a national network of funders who work together to support the well-being and economic success of young people ages 14 to 25 who are most held back and farthest from opportunity, including those who have experience in the foster care or youth justice systems, who have been disconnected from school or work, or who have experienced homelessness.
